Due to the weekends’ wet weather, Mandy Macgowan’s family fun day fundraiser has been rescheduled for this Thursday evening.

Mrs Macgowan decided to coordinate the day to raise funds to support the families of a recent car crash.

Along with the help of Kerrie Giles and Kerry Pryde, Mrs Macgowan has coordinated a family fun day at the foreshore.

The fun day will feature a barbecue, jumpy castle and face painting by Aleesha Watson as well family photography sessions available for purchase.

Mrs Macgowan will be photographing families, couples, animals and loved ones this Thursday, January 15 at Ada Ryan Gardens.

She said she knew one of the victims, Natasha Turnbull, so she wanted to do something to support all of the affected families.

“[The money raised will] help take the financial strain off these families, they’re suffering enough without having money to stress about too,” she said.

For a donation of $50, Mrs Macgowan will photograph people in the community between 5 and 7pm and is encouraging everyone to be involved.

A sausage sizzle will be available for purchase so there will be no need to cook dinner for the family.

“Just bring your loved ones down to the gardens and come see me, have your photos taken and enjoy a fun day with your family,” she said.

“Anyone that you cherish and would like to capture a moment with to treasure forever.”

Mrs Macgowan said bookings were not required, people could simply attend on the day.
