SHOOTERS were competing on the 400 metre range in hot steamy conditions.
Despite this there were some outstanding scores from A-graders and F-class competitors.
The star of the day however was junior Todd Barnard in F-class B who smashed the junior record in his first round, and broke another record with his aggregate, a wonderful display of marksmanship.
A-grade was won by Steve Southwell with two excellent rounds for a total of 100.11, followed by Peter Thurtell 98.11, Tony Moon 97.10 and Wendy Moon 90.6.
B-grade was won by Max Purnell posting a score of 95.6, and Nick Kenny 78.2.
The action in F-class A was very exciting with Chris Barnard having a scorching second round of 59.4 to win with a total of 112.5, followed by Mike Rogerson with a super first round of 57.2 for a final score of 111.5, then Rob Bartlett firing a terrific second round of 57.5 for a total of 110.6, then Tony Galati who fired an excellent first round of 57.5 but could not follow up in the second round for a score of 107.7.
F-class B was won by Todd Barnard with a fantastic shoot scoring 115.7, his nearest competitor was Gordon Higgins 101.2, Jon Knight 99.3 and Bev Rogerson 90.1.
Handicap trophy went to Todd Barnard.
